Today, Julie is proposing different ways to help you design your own masks using Scratch creative coding platform!
Challenge #7 : Create your own Face Mask
For this challenge, you can pick and choose from the different options below depending on your interest or the skills you want to develop ! Be CURIOUS and Be CREATIVE !
Option 1 - Play and personalize your own mask
The goal of this game is to decorate masks and adjust the emoji face and background to your mood.
Instructions :
Click on the Green flag to start the decoration game from this page or open it in Scratch here.
Click and drag decorations onto the mask
Click on Up and Down arrows to select new decorations
Click on small top green mask to change the mask background color / pattern
Click on Emoji to select a new one that matches your feelings of the day
Click on CLEAN button to erase your changes and start with a new design.
Take a snapshot of your designs and share them with friends!
Option 2 - Remix Mask generator
On Scratch platform, you can share your project and "See inside" projects shared by other within the Scratch Community.
The fun part is that you can get inspired by "Remixing" any project using the Remix button !
There are multiple way for you to remix the Mask Generator project.
Add or create new backgrounds.
Add new mask backgrounds or shapes.
Add new decoration options.
Add option to write your first name on the mask.

How can I start animating stories using Scratch?
The first step is to get to ... Scratch !
Scratch is a coding platform you can access online but also offline depending on the type of device type you are using.
Second step, select a character for your story or game.
In Scratch, we call this character a "sprite". You can have multiple sprites if you like but let's start with one 😉
